SAPA



  Sapa district is Lao Cai province, north-west Vietnam and 380 km north-west of Ha Noi, close to the border with China. This range includes Vietnam’s highest mountain, Fansipan, at a height of 3143 m above sea level. The town of Sapa lies at an altitude of about 1500 meters (4921 feet) above sea level.

  The climate is moderate and rainy in summer (May-August), foggy and cold with occasional snowfalls in winter. The temperature remains stably cool throughout the year through winter may see more severe changes with frost and even snow (mostly from mid-December to mid-January). Temperature ranges within 15-30 degree.

Ethnic Minorities

  Sapa is place to a great diversity of ethnic minority people. Many ethnic minorities live in and around Sapa. Eight different ethnic minority groups in Sapa; H’mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, Muong, Thai, Hoa (ethnic Chinese) and Xa Pho.

Culture

   Almost ethnics have cultures very special and different and unique characteristics of each region.

   They have many special customs. About clothes, they can embroider their clothes by themselves, by handmade method; the dresses are diversity colors and special styles.

Traditional Foods

  Sapa town is a really fantastic destination. Sapa is famous not only for the natural beauty of the forest and wonderful climate, but also for the unique food of the northwest forest. Come to Sapa, you should try.

How to get there?

  Now we have many vehicles to get there, such as: train, car, motorbike… Fee for a trip is very cheap about 1-2 million for 4 days. You should go to there at least one time in your life.
